WordPress Malware Recovery
Your website was hacked. Or something is very wrong. Let's fix it.
You open your website and it sends you somewhere else. A gambling site. A page you’ve never seen. Maybe your hosting company emails to tell you they’ve found malware, or Google is warning people not to visit.
We clean malware from hacked WordPress websites, get them working again and tighten security when we’re done.
WordPress malware recovery starts at $495.
If your website has been hacked or infected, get in touch. Call or text us and tell us what you’re seeing.
What do you do when your WordPress site gets hacked?
First, don’t worry about figuring out the technical part yourself. We need to find out what happened.
We’ll assess the infection, clean the website, make sure it’s working and address the security issues we find along the way.
Find out what's wrong
We’ll review the site and determine what we’re dealing with. That can include infected files, malicious code, redirects, unfamiliar users, database changes or other signs that the site has been compromised.
Remove the malware
We’ll clean infected files and remove malicious code, backdoors and other parts of the infection we identify. If legitimate WordPress files have been altered, we’ll repair or replace them as appropriate.
Get the website working again
Once the infection is removed, we’ll check the site itself. We want pages loading, forms working and the website behaving the way it should before we call the cleanup finished.

Deal with your hosting
If your host has restricted or suspended the site because it was hacked or infected with malware, we’ll help with the steps needed to get it reviewed and restored. We can also help address malware-related warnings from Google when applicable.
Tighten security
We look for the likely way into the site when we can identify it. We’ll update vulnerable software, review access and put appropriate security measures in place to reduce the chance of the same problem happening again.
We've cleaned hundreds of hacked WordPress websites.
Malware isn’t new territory for us. We’ve cleaned and recovered hundreds of WordPress websites with all kinds of infections. We’ve dealt with malicious redirects, injected code, compromised accounts, infected files and websites that hosting companies have taken offline.
Cleaning the malware is only part of the job. The website still has to work when we’re finished. And if we can identify how the hacker got in, we want to close that door before we hand the site back.
That’s where knowing WordPress matters. We’ve worked with the platform for more than 20 years. We understand how WordPress, themes and plugins fit together, where problems tend to hide and what should and shouldn’t be there.
We’ll clean the site, test it and tighten security. Then we’ll explain what happened in language that makes sense.
We've been doing this a long time.
A straightforward WordPress malware cleanup starts at $495.
Some infections take considerably more work. A large website, WooCommerce store, badly compromised installation or site with malware spread through thousands of files may require additional cleanup and recovery time.
We’ll assess what we’re dealing with and let you know if the work is likely to go beyond the starting price. We won’t turn a $495 cleanup into a much larger bill without talking to you first.
30 days of reinfection protection
If the original infection returns because something from that incident was missed during our cleanup, we’ll take care of it at no additional charge for 30 days.
That doesn’t mean a website can’t ever be hacked again. A new vulnerability, stolen password or unrelated attack is a different incident. We’ll explain any ongoing security or maintenance recommendations after the cleanup.
For businesses serving a defined area, we connect this work with local SEO. Your service coverage should reflect where you actually work, whether that means neighborhoods within a city or a group of neighboring towns.
That information belongs in useful pages and accurate business details. We build the approach around your market.
Real clients.
Real recovery.
Finding out your website has been hacked is unsettling, especially when you don’t know what happened or how far the problem goes. We help our clients clean up the infection, repair the damage and get their WordPress website back where it belongs.
Questions about a hacked or infected WordPress site
How do I know if my WordPress site has been hacked?
Sometimes it’s obvious. Your website may redirect visitors somewhere else, display unfamiliar pages or show a security warning. You may find administrator accounts you don’t recognize or changes you know nobody on your team made.
Other infections are less visible. Your hosting company may detect suspicious files or activity before you notice anything wrong yourself.
If you think your website has been hacked but aren’t sure what’s happening, call or text us. You don’t need to diagnose it before asking for help.
How quickly can you help?
Call or text us if the website is currently infected, redirecting visitors or has been taken offline. We’ll respond as quickly as we can during normal business operations and let you know what we can do.
We don’t advertise a guaranteed emergency response time, but an active malware infection gets our attention.
My hosting company says my website was hacked. What should I do?
Send us the notice they gave you and call or text us. We’ll need access to the website files and hosting account so we can determine what happened and begin cleaning the site.
If the hosting company suspended the website, we can also help with its review or reinstatement process once the infection has been removed.
Can you guarantee my website won't get hacked again?
No one can honestly promise that.
We clean the current infection and tighten security based on what we find. Our 30-day protection covers a recurrence connected to the original incident, not an unrelated future compromise.
Keeping WordPress, themes and plugins current and monitoring the website afterward can reduce the risk of another problem.
Do I have to sign up for WordPress Maintenance afterward?
No. If you need us to clean the website, we can do that as a standalone service.
If you’d rather have us take care of updates, backups, security monitoring and the other routine work afterward, we can talk about WordPress Maintenance once the immediate problem is resolved.
What do you need from me?
Start with the website address and tell us what’s happening. If you’ve received a message from your hosting company or Google, let us know what it says.
Please don’t send passwords through the contact form or ordinary email. We’ll arrange a secure way to collect the access we need.
Has your WordPress site been hacked? Call or text us.
You don’t have to figure out whether it’s malware, a hacked account or something else before you contact us. If you’re seeing redirects, warnings, unfamiliar pages or anything else that makes you think the website has been compromised, get in touch.
Tell us what you’re seeing. We’ll ask a few questions and figure out the next step.
If you’d rather send the details, use the form. Give us the website address and a description of what’s happening, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can during normal business operations.
