Why Cider House?
What's in a Name?
While we were mulling over name ideas (yes, that pun is intentional), we wanted something that reflected both where we’re from and how we work. Cider feels unmistakably New England, and a cider house is a place where something simple is made thoughtfully, with care and intention. That idea has always felt like a good parallel for the kind of work we do.
The name also connects to our roots. Both founders share the last name Appelquist, and we’re based in the Pioneer Valley, just a short drive from Park Hill Orchard. We’re proud to be a Massachusetts web design company, working with businesses across Western Mass, the Boston area, and beyond. Our clients range from local shops and organizations to companies across the country, but our perspective stays grounded right here.
